THOHOYANDOU – Judge Yvonne Mokgoro of the Constitutional Court will be inaugurated as the new Chairperson of the Univen Council during the university's graduation ceremony next Friday.

Judge Mokgoro will take over as chairperson form Prof. Barney Pityana. The Univen Chancellor, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, will confer the degrees during the ceremony. The guest speakers during the ceremony will include Judge Mokgoro and Prof. Mbulelo Mzamane, a visiting professor and interim director of the E'skia Mphahlele Institute of African Studies.

Capt. Ailwei Mushavhanamadi, spokesperson of the SAPS will be one of the graduates, when he receives his Honours degree in Criminal Justice.

Mushavhanamadi is going to stage a celebration party at Ditike, near Muledane, the same evening. Prof. Dovhani Thakhathi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Univen will be the guest speaker.
