MATHE – A man watched helplessly as two armed men harassed him and raped his wife, before robbing him of R300. The frightening ordeal took place in their bedroom at Mathe Village last Thursday.
Insp Philip Morolo reported that the police are still on the lookout for the two armed suspects. The suspects allegedly woke the victim and his wife. One was waving a pistol, while the other was threateningly flashing a knife. The suspects demanded that their victim should give them a gun and money.

One of them suggested that their victim should have sexual intercourse with his wife in front of them. They loosened the trousers binding him and commanded him to do as they suggested. They watched him for a moment as he had sex with his wife and one of them stated that he was not doing it properly. His wife was led outside where one raped her, while the other remained inside. The other man then raped her in front of her husband.
While the one suspect was raping his wife, the man got on opportunity to free himself. He then jumped out of an opened window and screamed for help. The two men went out and fled into the darkness. The police are appealing to members of the public to assist them in solving this crime.
