The organisers of the Mr and Miss Louis Trichardt Pageant have selected the Abraham Kriel Children's Home and the Mr and Miss Louis Trichardt Christmas Fund as the main projects for this year.

The three winners (Mr and Miss Louis Trichardt and their two princess and princesses) should be able to attend the various functions to which they are invited.

Mr and Miss Louis Trichardt will be ambassadors for the entire Louis Trichardt region.

The Show Society also decided at its last monthly meeting that all tenders for manning the show gates should be in by the end of March.

To enhance safety at the annual show, security officials at the various entry gates at the show grounds will be required to search all people who enter. No one will be allowed to bring alcohol onto the show grounds.

The committee also decided that special attention would be given to stop alcohol abuse on the show grounds

The name of the show will remain unchanged for this year.

The chairman, Mr Tobias Fourie, explained that the committee is completely neutral on the subject of names. Since no finality has been reached on the proposed name change for Louis Trichardt, and since final arrangements and correspondence concerning the show are already underway, the name will remain unchanged for now. The state of affairs can be reconsidered for the next year.
