Ntshuxeko gets a new car from Spoornet

News  Date: 09 July 2004

GIYANI - Spoornet has donated a car worth R200 000 to the Ntshuxeko Health Development Organization last Saturday as part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Programme.

Spoornet’s Executive Manager, Mr Chris Sono, said his company is demonstrating its commitment to the development of communities within which it conducts its business. “Through the CSI Programme, Spoornet strives to uplift communities to foster their own development,” he said.

Sono said Spoornet’s continued involvement with Ntshuxeko was prompted by the organisation’s commitment and hard work in making a difference in communities. The project currently has 35 full-time employees; six of them are doing home-based care. However, there is a possibility of terminating this project and focusing on looking after HIV/Aids people in the community and giving training on home-based care. Hence, they have already trained 400 youths and adults from local communities.
