NZHELELE - The Department of Education has dismissed the principal of Gilbert Mulondo Primary School, which is situated at Khalavha. Mr Takalani Tshivhase was dismissed as from April 31.

Mr M.R Mathivha, Regional Director of Education confirmed the dismissal of Mr Tshivhase.

According to one of the SGB members, who did not want his name to be mentioned, Tshivhase was dismissed due to misappropriation of school funds. Mr Tshivhase did appeal against the decision taken by the department, but the appeal was not successful.

Some of the members of teacher's organisation told Mirror that they are very happy about the decision taken by the department. Mathivha further told Mirror that the department is going to take harsh steps against teachers and principals who misappropriate school funds.
