THOHOYANDOU - The Thohoyandou branch of First National Bank has employed its first black manager, Mr Hassen Hoosen.
Hoosen, who has been with FNB for the past sixteen years, was promoted from the White River branch. He started in his new position last Tuesday. Hoosen said he was going to make sure that the bank serves the community in the best way possible.
"This is a great achievement for me and especially for the people of colour. I deserve to be in this position. I worked hard until to this stage. My record speaks for itself," said Hoosen.
About his plans, Hoosen said he was going to make sure that they provide quality service, which will in turn give them good profit. Another new member to be promoted in the bank is Mr Bobby Steytler, who is in the position of Manager Resources.
In the words of appreciation, Prince Makuya, who is the branch administrator, said the two officers should feel welcomed and not get disappointed by the fact that the bank is situated in a rural area.
