NZHELELE - Although the MEC in the Premier's Office, Ms Catherine Mabuza has recently slammed the installation of many traditional leaders in the Limpopo province, Chief Kennedy Tshivhase installed three Chiefs at Tshirenzheni last Saturday.
Mabuza doesn't know the origin of the Venda tribe and the procedure of installing Chiefs, said Tshivhase. He said this land (Venda) was never sold to missionaries, thus why Siloam and Beuster remain at Tshivhase. "We got this land in 1700 and no lawyer can stand before the Tshivhase Dynasty, he added.
When asked about the payment of those installed, he said he needs people who are dedicated to serve the communities, rather people who are behind money. He installed Ndavheleseni "Muvhango" Tshiovhe as a Chief and his Ndumi is Michael Takalani Tshiovhe, an intelligent blind man, who writes radio dramas and is presenter of radio programme for the disabled, known as Kharikonane on Phalaphala FM. Anna Tshiovhe was installed as the Khadzi.
He also installed Mr Jack Ramudzuli Madilonga, an elderly man, who knows the geography of Tshirenzheni Village as Chief. His Ndumi is Humbulani Mavhuthugu and Khadiyamavha Nyamunzhedzi was crowned as the Khadzi.
Chief Tshivhase finally installed a young lady Ms Ndivhuho "Rifarothe" Tshiovhe as Chief. Her Ndumi is Fhatuwani Tshiovhe and Avhashoni Tshiovhe is her Khadzi. They were advised to join "Contralesa" an umbrella body that control traditional leaders in South Africa.
