LOUIS TRICHARDT – Councillor Meriam M Sikhwari of Ward 32 in the Makhado Municipality, passed away and will be buried on Saturday 16 March.

A memorial service for Cllr Sikhwari, will take place on Friday 15 March at Tshitavha village. The service will be conducted in the Faith Mission Church at 12:00.

The ANC Chief Whip, Mr Moses Tseli said in an official statement that news of the Councillors death was received with deep shock. He said she will be missed by all. He described her as a person who was truly committed to the improvement of the quality of people's lives.

"It will not be easy to fill the gap that she has left," Mr Tseli said.

The MEC for Local Government and Housing along with other dignitaries from the Provincial structures are expected to attend the funeral.
