With only a few days before the national elections, Vhavenda King Thovhele Toni Mphephu Ramabulana has urged Vhembe people to vote.

He was speaking during the Limpopo Freedom day celebrations at the Madabani Stadium in Ha-Kutama on Sunday.

Mphephu Ramabulana said all the registered voters in the region should cast their votes. He said it was of paramount important for people to vote for the political parties of their choice. “When you go to the polls, vote for the political organization that you think will work for you,” he said. He insisted that as traditional leaders they would not influence the public to vote for a certain political party.

According to him, the winning party should not undermine the role of the traditional leaders. “Those who win the elections should not forget about our role in society when they are in power,” he added.
