NZHELELE – The Dzanani police are still baffled with the escalation of unnecessary deaths of couples around the Makhado Township as another case was reported on Sunday.

It was reported that a 54-year old man shot and killed his wife at Matanda Village on Sunday. He then turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head.

Capt Jeffrey Matamela announced the deceased as Mr Frans and Mrs Grace Mugada, residents of Matanda Village, Nzhelele.

According to Matamela, the husband arrived from work at the Levhuvhe Farms. An argument then broke out between him and his wife, after she had asked him where he had been for such a long time. It is said that she was suspecting that her husband had a concubine.

It is alleged that Frans then produced a pistol and shot his wife and himself.

The horror shocked the community as well as the police. They are still investigating the case.
