Senior Wilson Nndwamato Mulaudzi of the Manamani branch of the United African Apostolic Church was laid to rest in the Manamani cemetery on Saturday.
His burial followed a service at his home. It was attended by many members of the church, the Vuwani 2 district leadership and a huge group of community members.
Sounds of the beating of the Zionist drums, in line with the tradition of the church, reverberated through the cold winter breeze. Clad in their traditional blue and white robes, members danced to the beat of the drums in a true celebration of a life well lived.
Vuwani 2 district chairperson Mr Simon Tshikunde urged members to emulate and follow the good example set by the late Senior. “We worked together for a long time, and I can testify that Mulaudzi was a selfless and trusted senior member of the church who worked tirelessly for God and for the improvement of his church. He was a disciplined member who spoke his mind when things were not going well in the church," he said.
On behalf of the children, his third daughter, Livhuwani, said that death had robbed them of a good and loving person.“My father’s death is a blow to the whole family. He loved us all and provided us with all the necessities. Our hearts are saddened and we are just drawing strength from the comforts we are getting from the church," she added.
Mulaudzi was born 1945 at Mashawana outside Thohoyandou. He leaves his wives, children and grandchildren.
Elmon Tshikhudo started off as a photographer. He developed an interest in writing and started submitting articles to local as well as national publications.
