KHALAVHA - Angry residents of Khalavha started a campaign against foreigners after a resident, who was in love with a Mozambican, was stabbed and wounded last Thursday.
Residents said they are fighting with foreigners following the incident when a Mozambican stabbed a 24-year-old girl, Georgina Makhado, last Thursday night.
It is said that most of the foreigners don’t have citizenship documents and when they committed criminal offences, it is difficult to trace them.
Since the campaign started the foreigners were sleeping in the mountains. Capt Ailwei Mushavhanamadi, spokesperson of the police in the Far North, said nobody is allowed to chase foreigners except the police. He said he would arrange with the Department of Home Affairs for the repatriation of the foreigners.
A source at Khalavha said a meeting would be held at a secret place where they would “take resolutions on the extermination of foreigners”.
