The Levubu police are looking for a 32-year-old man, following the death of Mr Fransie Ravhusese (33) from Ha-Mutsha Tshidzivhani on Saturday night.

According to the police report, Mr Ravhusese was attacked in the middle of the night while he was on his way home with two women.  Mr Ravhusese was returning home after a visit to a local tavern.

The suspect was allegedly hiding in the bushes along the road but greeted the women. Mr Ravhusese apparently asked the suspect who he was and why was he hiding instead of approaching them. The suspect then allegedly confronted Mr Ravhusese and accused him of being disrespectful. He then allegedly started assaulting Mr Ravhusese, while the two women tried to stop him.

The wanted suspect disappeared from the scene and Mr Ravhusese was taken home. On his way home, he was still bleeding and vomiting as a result of the injuries sustained. He passed away shortly after midnight.

The Levubu police have opened a murder case after the incident. “We are still looking for the suspect,” said Capt Vele of the Levubu police station.
