NZHELELE – A man shot and killed his wife and baby before turning a firearm on himself in Rabali Village, Nzhelele on Sunday.

The police and villagers are still baffled by the horrific death of the Nevari family.

It is stated that Dzanani police inspector Abel Thavhana had received information from the neighbours of the Nevari family that Rudzani (28) and his wife Margareth (22) had been involved in a quarrel and that they later heard several gunshots.

When the police arrived, they found that Nevari had shot his wife and young Gundo (3) in the chest and later shot himself in the head. All three died at the scene.

The police confirmed that a 9mm pistol had been used in the killing.
