Many attractive bursaries are available to Limpopo students wishing to further their studies at tertiary institutions this year.

Details of the bursaries were released during the province’s recent academic awards function, hosted by the Department of Education.

The University of Venda has made ten full scholarships available for studies in a variety of disciplines. All students who obtained university exemption in the 2004 Senior Certificate examinations are eligible to apply.

The newly established University of Limpopo, with campuses at Turfloop and in Pretoria, is offering 80 full scholarships in commercial fields of studies, as well as 50 bursaries in their B.Admin faculty. This university also has various categories of scholarships for students wishing to do teacher-training courses.

Meanwhile, the Limpopo Department of Agriculture has confirmed that it has concluded an agreement with the University of Pretoria, in terms of which full bursaries will be made available to students wishing to major in agricultural fields such as crop production and animal husbandry.
