MUSINA – The station commander of the SAPS in Musina, Supt M G Nephawe, appeared in the local court this week on a charge of housebreaking and theft.
Supt Nephawe was arrested earlier the week and brought to court. The case was postponed to Friday this week and Supt Nephawe was warned to appear again before the court.
On enquiry, a spokesperson for the SAPS confirmed the arrest and court appearance but denied rumours that the station commissioner had been temporarily suspended. It was confirmed that he was continuing with duties.
The charge is allegedly connected with State property at the renovated police station in Musina.
