MALAMANGWA - Malamangwa Primary School recieved R20 000 from the Old Mutual Foundation during a ceremony at the school last week.
Mr Eddie Tshitimbi, Old Mutual Foundation’s Marketing Manager, said Malamangwa Primary applied for the funds, seeing that they are learning in a shabby shelter. “Old Mutual responded by handing out a cheque of R20 000 and we need them to build three classes in order to overcome the shortage of classrooms.”
Mr Joseph Lithole, school principal, said the donation came when learners were attending classes in a shack. The school was started in 1982 and now has 225 learners. “We also need an administration block, fresh running water, library and store room on the school premises,” Lithole said.
