VALDEZIA – Two women were raped in separate incidents at Valdezia settlement over the weekend.

According to Insp Risimati Masonto, spokesperson of the Waterval SAPS, a 27-year old victim met the alleged rapist (26), while coming from her sister’s household at about 22:00 on April 29. “We heard that the suspect grabbed her and started demanding sex and as she refused, he allegedly raped her,” he said.

In another rape ordeal at Valdezia at 16:00, a 29-year old suspect took a 31-year old woman, whom he found alone, to the nearest bushes. Masonto said that, at the bushes, the suspect promised to kill the victim if she made any noise. She complied with his instructions, and he then allegedly raped her.
