"I am not a zombie, I'm alive"

MALAMULELE - Mr Norman Risimati Mtilengi (41) of Malamulele Nthaven Block A at Kavele Village is regarded as a zombie, after his family had buried someone else, thinking that it was Norman.

Mtilengi has been working in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Council for many years, and one day he decided to go home, where he found out that his family had conducted a burial, thinking that they had buried him. His family told him what they knew was that Norman had been shot dead in 2002 and could not understand why he was claiming that he was still alive.

Mtilengi has two wives; one is at Malamulele with four children and another one is staying in Gauteng with three children. He is worried, because his four children at Malamulele are not accepting him, thinking that he is a zombie or a ghost.

“Another thing that is terrifying me is that even my colleagues at work don’t want to come close to me. They say they see a fire when they look at me. Some say I am a zombie. Another group said I am mentally disturbed and that made my employer send me to the doctors to examine me”.

He added that Dr Dasa Doh Famed wrote a letter, showing that he did not detect any behavior that could be regarded as a psychiatric patient.

Mtilengi is begging the police and other people to unite him with his family.
