JIM MASINDI – “Ours is true love and no one can separate us. She is 37 years younger than me but age difference does not mean anything. The most important thing is to understand each other and treat one another with dignity. My son, I have really found true love at last,” said Mr Sendedza Radzimisani (74) who has just fallen madly in love with his young bride, Tondani Nemudzivhadi (37).

“It was love at first sight. I love him more than words can ex-press. We are inseparable. He calls me baby and I call him daddy. I wish I could stay with him for the rest of my life,” added Tondani, who now stays with her elderly husband at Makonde-Jim Masindi village, north of Thohoyandou.

The couple met in 2001 and their love grew so strong that they decided to stay together the following year. Sendedza told Mirror: “This woman is the apple of my eye and I always need her by my side. She takes my blues away and since we came together, my life has changed for good. She is always in my heart and I can’t afford to lose her. Thi mu litshi, ndi nga na nda fa (I could rather die than leaving her)…”

The couple had a baby boy who unfortunately passed away when he was two months old. Tondani explained: “The child was born on February this year and he died in April. My husband has always been supportive throughout the hard times. The death of our boy has strengthened our love and we always have feelings for each other.”

Sendedza concluded by silencing his critics who say his wife is so young that she qualifies to be his daughter. “These are jealous people who do not want to see our love prosper. Our love is solid and we wish we could have met a long time ago. It is long that I have been seeking for love but without success. Tondani has come to my rescue at last. No one will ever succeed in separating us. Only death will have the power to separate us. Tell the whole world that we are madly in love and it was not by a mistake that we fell for each other. This is the most memorable and enjoyable part of my life because I now know what love is. I will never leave her…”
