TSHAVHALOVHEDZI - Taxi owner Mr Shavhani Ramusetheli (56), who was gunned down at his home at Tshavhalovhedzi near the Siloam hospital last Monday (July 25), was buried on Sunday.

Police Supt Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said the deceased came home during the evening and parked his Toyota Cressida in the garage. “A few minutes later, he was attacked by two men while closing the garage door. They hit him with a sharp object on the head, and then shot him. He died instantly,” said Mushavhanamadi.

When the deceased’s mother went out to investigate the cause of the noise in the garage, she was hit in the face and she sustained minor injuries. The suspects then fled on foot.

The motive for the killing is not known at this stage and two males, aged 19 and 22, were detained for questioning, but later released,” Supt Mushavhanamadi said.

The question of who had killed Ramusetheli is still unanswered, but the police at Siloam are still investigating the incident.
