The lives of a large number of disadvantaged people at Ngwenani Ha-Mapholi and Gondeni la Mabilu outside Thohoyandou are fast changing for the better.
The Seventh Day Adventist Church at Ngwenani, through its Dorcas wing, has taken it upon itself to feed and clothe the needy in those communities. A fortnight ago, groceries and other gifts, including school uniforms, were presented to them. It took place during a church service at the premises of the Ngwenani Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The church’s Dorcas leader, Ms Florence Ralulimi, a businesswoman of note who, together with her daughter, Vhutshilo Ralulimi-Seopa, donated all the goods. “God has blessed us so much in many ways and we believe that were blessed in order that we pass those blessings to those in need. This is a way of saying thank you to God for the good He has done for us.”
She said that, besides helping the needy, they had already started an elderly soccer team.
