The current severe drought is causing the Musina Municipality to experience water shortages and this is resulting in water provision interruptions in certain higher-lying areas.
“Higher-lying areas, particularly in the Nancefield Township, are experiencing a complete lack of water at certain periods because of low pressure in the feeder lines,” says municipal spokesperson Phumudzo Makhara-medza.
The municipality is working around the clock in a bid to regulate the pressure in certain feeder lines to ensure that the water supply in the higher-lying areas returns to normal by the weekend. Water restrictions in respect of the watering of gardens have already been imposed and must be adhered to strictly.
The watering of gardens may only be done on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 16:00 and 19:00.
