THOHOYANDOU – The battle over the pension of the former Venda homeland employees, the Daba Lo Rivhuwa Patriotic Front and the government is still far from over.
The president of the organisation, Mr Tshifhiwa Makhale, who gave a report back to his members during a mass meeting held at the Thohoyandou shopping complex last Saturday, told Mirror he will proceed with the battle to get the pension for all workers of the then Venda homeland, despite the decision taken by the Pretoria High Court on August 2 to dismiss the case.
“We have been advised by our legal team to take our case to the Appeal Court. They told us that chances are good for us to win the case on appeal,” he said.
