Local crocodile products and dried meats attracted great attention during a recent World Food Trade Show.
Robert Rauch and his team from Dinnermates took their place among world-class exporters and market leaders in the food market at the Anuga Food Trade Show hosted from October 8 to 12 in Cologne Germany.
The Anuga Food Trade Show presents the latest in food trends and is an ideal setting for showcasing innovative new products. This specialised show is open to decision makers in the food and beverage industry. The Anuga Show, considered one of the largest in the world, hosted some 6 000 suppliers from 157 countries, with this year’s show seeing over 150 000 visitors.
Robert saw this as an excellent opportunity to make international contacts and showcase the products of an industry based in the small town of Louis Trichardt. Dinnermates’ dried meat range was the drawing card, the emphasis this year being the launch of an exotic crocodile soup for which they supplied the dried meat products. Dinnermates shared the stand with Izintaba Crocodile Farm from Pretoria, specialising in the export of crocodile skin and raw crocodile meat, and Karoo Gold, specialising in venison products.
The stand was extremely popular with visitors who expressed their interest in the Dinnermates dried meat range. On one of the evenings, venison and crocodile carpaccio was showcased and served to a selected group, generating great excitement for the South-African-produced crocodile meat products.
In their continued strive for excellence, Robert recently received the Businessman of the Year award from the Soutpansberg Chamber of Commerce. Dinnermates was awarded second place in the Randburg Chamber of Commerce’s Large Business of the Year category, and has been nominated for Supplier of the year by PURCO – Catering group for Universities.
Dinnermates’ motto of precision and perfection has paid off and with service and customer satisfaction as their aim, Dinnermates is fast achieving their goal of becoming a world-class player and market leader in the food industry.
The management of Dinnermates, Izintaba Crocodile Farm and Karoo Gold would like to express their appreciation for the professional reproduction of marketing material, including a 9-meter banner that ensured their exhibit measured up to world-class standards. A special thanks to Annette Kennealy and Sandy van Niekerk of The Image Works, for the co-ordination, conceptualisation and design of marketing materia,l as well Herman Fick of Promo Place for the reproduction and printing of marketing material.
