"Thank you Mirror"

Last year, Mirror published a story of a 28-year-old woman who was not able to enjoy life for the past 11 years, due to a pimple that had developed into an unsightly tumor under her right eye.

Today, Fhatuwani Joyce Sigadawani of Ha-Ravele is no longer plagued by an itching pain in both her eyes. A well-known local herbalist and owner of Back to Eden Herbal Services, Ms Gladys Makhela, was touched when she saw Sigadawani complaining that she had not been enjoying life for the past 11 years and offered her free treatment.

“That story touched me, especially when I read that the tumor was making her life miserable. Now there is a difference; I am doing all this without expecting her to pay me. I want to see her enjoying life like everyone else,” said Makhela.

Asked if she was feeling some changes since she began receiving treatement from the herbalist, Joyce said that there was a great improvement. “When I went to the herbalist, my right eye was always partially closed, but now the tumor is fading away. I am no longer plagued by those itching pains anymore,” she said. Joyce said that attempts to get the tumor treated at the clinic in her village and Tshilidzini hospital on several occasions had been fruitless. “Nurses always told me that they did not see something inside the tumor and I was always scared that this disgusting tumor would lead me to becoming visually impaired,” she said.

Joyce started receiving treatment from Makhela on November 18 last year. Joyce added that, presently, she can wash her face without feeling pain.
