THOHOYANDOU – Chief Kennedy Midiyavhathu Tshivhase is the new chairman of the Soutpansberg Petroleum, SBP. This was announced during a ceremony that at Tusk Venda Hotel and Casino last Thursday evening.
During the ceremony, the marketing director of the company, Mr Ockie Strydom, indicated that his company was established four years ago. According to him, Soutpansberg Petroleum has grown tremendously, as far as sales are concerned, since their inception in 2000.
He revealed that the company’s first client in the Thohoyandou area was Mrs Anna Lukoto. He further stated that his company is the largest Engen Petroleum agent in the country. According to him, his company is committed to community development in many ways.
He cited their donation of a bus to Black Leopards Football Club as an example for their generosity. In his speech the new chairman of the company, Chief Kennedy Tshivhase, said that his company is committed to providing the best quality service to their clients.
He reiterated the fact that the company will always plough a fraction of their profit back into the communities that are enriching them. According to him, the company has extended its services to its clients to 24 hours a day and seven days a week. During the ceremony the managing director of the company, Mr Nico Louw, handed over the keys of a new Toyota Prado to the newly appointed chairman of the company, Chief Kennedy Midiyavhathu Tshivhase.
Frank is a Human Resources Manager at the Department of Public Works in Limpopo. He is the longest serving correspondent of the Mirror, having joined us at the end of 1990. He mainly writes sports reports and resides at Tsianda Village. In 2004, Frank won the National Castle League Award, an award for the best reporter in the SAB league in South Africa.
