Police at Makhado (Louis Trichardt) are investigating a case of culpable homicide, after a 24-year-old woman was crushed to death by a bus on Monday.

The woman died at the taxi rank between Burger and Kruger Street.

According to police spokesperson Capt Mashudu Malelo, two busses were parked behind each other while waiting for passengers to board. A third bus collided with one of the stationary busses, after which the stationary bus crashed into the other stationary bus, crushing the young woman to death.

At the time of going to press, the identity of the young victim was still unknown and the police appealed to members of the public to come forward if they are able to identify the woman.
