MUKULA – Members of the Mukula community and residents of surrounding villages are still shocked about an incident where Mr Joseph Ndou had allegedly hacked his wife, Lucy Ndou (40), to death at their home at Mukula on Monday.

While people were still asking themselves what had happened to the man who was said to have killed his three kids last week, Thohoyandou police have opened a murder and inquest docket after a man had allegedly killed his wife and injured their 22-year-old son, before committing suicide.

Later on, the community members found the suspect hanging from a tree.

According to the police, it is alleged that the two were separated and the wife was staying with her parents. The deceased visited the kraal of her husband to see her children and Ndou allegedly enquired about a missing iron. He then allegedly started hitting her on the head and hands, and she died at the scene.
