News  Date: 28 July 2006

The Musina police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of what seems to be human remains east of Beit Bridge.

A member of the public discovered the bones on the farm Maryland last Thursday and summoned the police, who visited the scene. They took the bones and sent them to the forensic laboratory for examination. A black size six lady’s shoe was also found at the scene.

The police appealed to anyone who might have information about the suspicious-looking bones to report to the nearest police station.
