Man allegedly kills his cousin

The police at Tshilwavhusiku have arrested a 23-year-old man, Takalani Mudzwiri of Tshiozwi, on a charge of murder.

It is alleged that Mudzwiri stabbed and killed his cousin, Mr Langanani Mashau (27), at Tshiozwi. The incident occurred at 02:30 on Saturday morning.

According to the spokesperson for the Tshilwavhusiku police, W/O David Nkanyane, an argument had broken out between the two men, during which the deceased was stabbed several times with a sharp object. Nkanyane added that the two men were drinking together when the fight broke out.

Mashau was certified dead when he arrived at Tshilwavhusiku Health Centre. Mudzwiri was arrested. He appeared in the Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate's Court on Monday and the case was postponed to 27 November for a bail application.
