Well-known hair stylist Connie De Sousa has been invited to attend the Intercoiffure Night of the Stars in Paris.

The Night of the Stars will be hosted in the Palais Brongniart on September 10 and the Mondial Performance on the following night. At this stage, Connie has to pay her own way and though she is greatly honoured by the invitation she is still considering it.

An event that Connie and hairstylist Nolean Dercksen definitely will attend is the Jetset 2006 Hair Show Top That! at Emperor’s Palace in Kemptonpark on October 9. A top Australian artistic team will perform as well as top South African hairstylists. The theme of the show was inspired by Connie’s innovation to create hats out of hair. A photo of Nolean with a black hat made of hair decorates the front of the show brochure and the show tickets. Two other photos of Connie’s hats-out-of-hair creations are on the back of the brochure.

Connie’s hat styles really caught on. Goldwell also chose the hat theme for their show in May in Cape Town. That show event was attended by over a hundred visiting hair stylists from North America. The Uncut Hair Magazine writes “that the audience were wowed by Connie De Sousa of C.J.’s”.

“I have presented three seminars in Durban this year and two in Cape Town and received so much love and attention from the Goldwell Team,” says Connie. But the cherry (or hat) on top was when the sales representative came all the way to show her the brochures and tickets with her hats-out-of-hair creations.
