Limpopo will once again be promoting its tourist attractions during the annual Tourism Indaba, to be held in Durban from Saturday, 8 May, until Tuesday, 11 May.
A strong delegation, comprising Limpopo Tourism and Parks Board officials, as well as product owners and small business operators from various regions, will represent the province at the event.
In recent years, Limpopo has received several awards at the Indaba, both for its exhibits and the notable growth of its tourism industry.
The Indaba has earned a reputation as Africa's largest travel and trade exhibition, growing in stature and diversity each year. The percentage of overseas visitors has also continued to rise.
This year, the exhibition management will be handled by Kagiso Exhibitions, who were recently awarded a contract to supervise all SA Tourism's exhibitions for the next three years.
The Indaba is to be opened by Environmental Affairs and Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk. This will be his first public engagement, since he was appointed to the position last week.
