The police in Makhado (Louis Trichardt) have arrested a 43-year-old Zimbabwean male for the murder of his 35-year-old wife at Villa Grande Lodge on Sunday, September 10.

The Zimbabwean male, Victor Moyo, arrived in South Africa the same day and instructed his wife, who was working outside town, to book him accommodation at the Villa Grande Lodge.

Moyo later allegedly confronted his wife at the lodge about having affairs with other men, while she is working in South Africa. The argument got out of hand and Moyo allegedly ended up strangling his wife.

Moyo later handed himself over to members of the police. He appeared in the Soutpansberg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, September 13, on a charge of murder. His case was postponed until September 22.
