A cloud of sadness hangs over the Kutama area, after the announcement of the death of the headman of Madodonga village, Simon Nndwamato Sinthumule (61).
He passed away after a short illness at Makhado Air Force Base on Saturday.
The spokesperson for the family, Vho-Simon Ramabulana, said it was a huge shock for them to lose such a hard worker. “He was such an experienced traditional leader with a lot to offer in the training of the new chiefs,” he added.
Thovhele Vho Vele-Kutama said that Sinthumule was a man of vision. “We will always remember him for his hard work, commitment and dedication,” he said. Kutama expressed his heartfelt condolences and support to the Sinthumule family.
He will be buried tomorrow (Saturday) at Madodonga village. The procession will start at about 06:00.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
