Sanco Provincial Ex-ecutive Committee disbanded

The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) National Executive Committee’s decision on the 14th January 2007 to disband the Provincial Executive Committees of Limpopo and Gauteng has been welcomed overwhelmingly by Regions and Branches.

Senior leaders in the affected provinces have pledged their support for the resolution and volunteered their assistance to help stabilize and assist in re-building the Provinces.

The Gauteng Provincial Interim Leadership Committee will be announced in the Provincial General Council on the 21st January 2007 at Braamfontein Conference Centre. The Sanco NEC members will be addressing the Sanco Gauteng General Council where all Branches and Regions of Gauteng will attend. This will be followed by NEC visits to Limpopo and all other Provinces.

According to a statement by Sanco, the following members were suspended with immediate effect: Nelson Ntsewa, Zacharia Moeletsi, Toenka Matila, Vincent Diraditsile, Dumisa Mango, Skhumbuzo Mpanza, Patrick Cwebi, Linda Mngomezulu and Dumisani Mthalane.
