A week after the national executive working committee of Sanco disbanded the provincial executive committees of the Gauteng and Limpopo Provinces, the provincial organising secretary, Mr James Delekisa, returned to politics.
He was elected the new branch chairperson of the African National Congress in Ward 25 of the Makhado Municipality over the past weekend.
Delekisa said that people should not see him as a career politician. "I have just responded to the call of the people. People want me to revive the ANC within their ward because they believe in my leadership," he claimed.
Delekisa confirmed that the ward councillor, Cllr Annah Nemalegeni, is not forming part of his new branch executive committee. Delekisa will be assisted by Mr Daniel Ramuedzisi. Mr Walter Managa was elected as the branch secretary and he will be assisted by Rosinah Matamela. Nthangeni Serunwa was elected as the branch treasurer.
Delekisa said that during their meeting held at Songozwi school at Madodonga, 10 additional members were also elected.
