A 70-year-old man of Madombidzha appeared in the Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl.

It is alleged that Samson Matumba had lured the victim to his house at Madombidzha Zone 2 on February 6, this year. Police spokesperson Supt Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said the pensioner allegedly raped the victim in his house.

Matumba was denied bail and he will be in police custody until he appears in court on February 23.
