The Malamulele Magistrate’s Court on Monday acquitted Dr Justice Mulaudzi (35), who was alleged to have raped a patient in a ward in the Malamulele Hospital last December.

The court dropped the case against Dr Mulaudzi, due to a lack of concrete evidence. He was alleged to have raped a 22-year-old patient who had been admitted to the Malamulele Hospital.

During his first court appearance in the same court, he was granted bail of R2 000. His employer, the Department of Health and Social Development, suspended Muluadzi soon after criminal charges were laid against him.
