News  Date: 13 April 2007

An advisor for the Limpopo Premier, Sello Moloto, Jack Mokobi, has resigned.

According to Moloto’s spokesperson, Mogale Nchabeleng, Mokobi stepped down from his position as advisor of the Premier as from March 31.

Mokobi, who served in various positions in the Limpopo government, including the provincial communication services, was appointed as advisor two years ago.

According to Nchabeleng, Mokobi steps down to pursue other interests outside government. "Both Moloto and Mokobi feel that he has fulfilled his task and mandate and the time has come for him to move on," says Nchabeleng.

Premier Moloto says Mokobi, like other loyal citizens of the province and the country, will remain available to serve government in general and Limpopo in particular in various capacities as and when he is required to do so in the various public-private partnership initiatives and in various voluntary and statutory government advisory boards and communities. "We will continue to tap his skills and experience as a province from time to time. He has gained valuable skills and competencies, both in government and the private sector over all these years, which we will need to drive development and service delivery forward," says Moloto.
