Indecent assault case withdrawn

News  Date: 13 July 2007

The Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate´s Court has withdrawn a charge of indecent assault case against Mrs Eunice Naledzani Tshilimandila (36) of Madombidzha Ha-Rathidili, due to a lack of evidence.

When the case was finalised last month, Tshilimandila was not found guilty by the court of law of sleeping with an under-aged boy. Tshilimandila was arrested by members of the Tshilwavhusiku SAPS in March this year, after it was alleged that she had allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old boy in her house at Ha-Rathidili.

After she was formally charged with indecent assault, Tshilimandila was granted bail of R500 when she appeared in the Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate´s Court in March.

At that stage, it was alleged that Tshilimandila called the under-age boy to her house and asked him to make tea for her. "We heard that Tshilimandila asked the young boy to her bedroom, where she started to show him some pornographic magazines and thereafter forced the young boy to have sexual intercourse with her throughout the night," reads an earlier police statement.

According to Tshilimandila, the young boy was used to damage her reputation. "I personally do no know that young boy. He had never come to my house. I am not a sex maniac and I do not sleep with under-aged boys. I will never do that. Everything was just fabricated to dent my good name," she said.
