Following the murder of the Hayward couple, the Mayor of the Makhado Municipality, Cllr Rhulani Nkuzana said that the murderers should face the full wrath of the law.

In a statement, Cllr Nkuzana states that he greatly condemns the cold-blooded killings and attacks on the peace-loving residents of this municipality. He urged residents to work hand in hand with the police to help bring these perpetrators to book.

“The brutal killing of Michelle and Clint Hayward has come at a time when the community is still trying to come to terms with the killing of Mr Martin Armitage who was also murdered towards the end of last month. On behalf of Council, I condemn these killing in the strongest terms, which they deserve. These criminals deserve the full wrath of the law,” Mayor Nkuzana said. He extended Council’s deepest condolences to the bereaved family and their relatives.

“May their souls rest in peace,” he concluded.
