SABC Limpopo, in partnership with Mvelelo Event Management, will be hosting the Mvelelo Spring Show at the Louis Trichardt show grounds. The Spring Show, a Makhado Municipality initiative, takes place from September 27 until 29.
The objectives and aims for this show are, amongst others, to showcase the community, to promote the entrepreneurial spirit in the community and to enhance the involvement of the SABC in the region. This is in line with the SABC’s quest for empowering communities, which is also in line with the notion of the corporation, namely of broadcasting for total citizen empowerment. This initiative will increase the level of awareness for small and medium enterprises since they will be showcasing their products and services at the show.
The Spring Show will be exhibiting consumer products and services as well as machinery and agricultural equipment. Many businesses, government departments and parastatals, large and small, will be exhibiting and showcasing their products and services. A career exhibition by a number of institutions is a must for school leavers who are serious about making sound career choices. A number of companies, such as ER24, the SABC, the SAPS, the Air Force, De Beers, Tskikondeni Mine, the Depart of Heath and Welfare, the Department of Agriculture, and Eskom are among the companies ready to inform learners of the many career choices at their disposal.
Crafts, jewellery, linen, household goods and furniture, goodies for the kiddies and much more await visitors to the Spring Show. Watch out for the show specials and buy goods at excellent prices!
The show will comprise different activities, including, amongst others, the fashion show which is being organized by Simplicity Le Chic and Danielle Models with guest artist Henri. The Battle of the DJs, which will be brought to you by South African Breweries (SAB), includes DJs Beef, Nipro, Ecko, Quotra and Richy. The Makoya team will be presenting the youth with the World Reading Passport campaign, while obstacle courses, paintball and a kiddies’ cycle race also form part of the entertainment line-up. Don’t forget the funfair providing the usual bout of fun rides.
It’s action all the way in the Coca-Cola arena as sports such as soccer, karate, kickboxing, a live rodeo, WWE Wrestling (sponsored by SPAR), the Lasher challenge and polocrosse provide for some energetic and pulsating entertainment.
Coca-Cola Fortune’s Coca-Cola Zone, which includes a talent search box, MTV Chill lounge and Mist Room, is sure to provide thirst-quenching relief and good entertainment, while the under 18s can find the fun in Coca-Cola Fortune’s "The fun will find you warehouse".
There will also be live entertainment on September 29 on the SABC Soundstage. Artists who will be performing are, amongst others, Kabelo "Bouga Luv" Mabalane and two other artists from his stable, Martin and Howza, as well as other local artists.
Any persons interested in the farming part of this exciting show in any way (either exhibiting his/her business, products or services, selling art and craft or who would like to showcase a talent) can phone Mvelelo Event Management at 082 891 6010 or collect a form Maranga Phanda Stationery in Erasmus Street, Louis Trichardt.
