Musina and Beit Bridge sign twinning agreement

BEIT BRIDGE - The Musina Municipality and the Beit Bridge Rural District Council of Matebeleland signed an agreement of friendly relations and co-operation at Beit Bridge last Friday.

During the signing of agreement, the two parties agreed to strengthen their relations and co-operation through the exchange of experience and knowledge. The two municipalities will encourage co-operation between representatives of the business community, banks and insurance services.

According to the mayor of the Musina Municipality, Alderman David Phologa, the main purpose of the signing of the agreement is to facilitate the strengthening of friendly relations and co-operation. The chairman of the Beit Bridge Rural District Council, Mr Jokonia Nare, said that the signing of the twinning agreement will benefit community members and not the council or municipality councillors. There will also be an exchange of information and knowledge between the two municipalities in several fields, he said.
