Chronic water shortages at two local schools prompted well-known business Pennells Tanks this week to donate two 5 000-litre water tanks to Laerskool Louis Trichardt and Louis Trichardt High School.

Upon hearing the plea of Louis Trichardt High School, as reported in last week’s Zoutpansberger, Pennells Tanks decided to do their bit and give something back to the community.

According to Mr. Gavin Pennells, both of the schools approached them for water tanks and they agreed to help. The high school bought two 5 000 litre tanks and another two were donated to them. The primary school was also to benefit from Pennells’ generosity.

Mr Pennells said they understand the frustration residents have with the continued problems regarding the water supply. It is for this reason that Pennells have several specials on their tanks to help residents to overcome their water needs at home and at businesses.

Both schools received their tanks on February 22 and 23. High school principal Mr Henri Denner said that the school was very grateful towards Pennells Tanks and to Rotary International who assisted in the project by helping out with funds to purchase the other two tanks.
