"My babies are a gift from God," says Rudzani Funyufunyu of Madombidzha Village who gave birth to triplets at the Louis Trichardt Memorial Hospital on Monday this week.
The 29-year-old mother of the triplets appreciates what God gave to her. "I really love them so much. I feel greatly honored," she said.
Funyufunyu, who is worried that she will not be able to afford to raise the babies because she is unemployed, is pleading with anyone who can assist her in this regard. Asked about the father of her children, Funyufunyu told Mirror that he was working, though he doesn’t have a permanent job. "He is a builder, so he has to wait for people to call him for a job. He is often unemployed for extended periods," revealed Funyufunyu.
Mirror also learnt that, apart of the newborn triplets, Funyufunyu has other two children, Mufunwa (13) and Usivhone (11).
When Mirror arrived at the Louis Trichardt Memorial Hospital, the little boys were said to be very healthy. The mother had not yet named the little boys.
The spokesman for the Department of Health and Social Development, Mr Phuthi Seloba, acknowledged that the department would make sure that the babies were registered with the Social Security Agency of Limpopo. "I will definitely speed up the registration, so that they are registered with the agency to apply for a grant," Seloba outlined.
People who can assist Funyufunyu in this regard can contact the communication section of the Louis Trichardt Memorial Hospital at 015 516 0148/9, extension 215 or 082 790 5391 and talk to Sister Peggy Maiwashe.
According to Maiwashe, any assistance will be welcomed.
