MOPANI – The police in the Mopani Area have arrested two men, aged 22 and 27, and charged them with rape and robbery, following an incident that took place at Bolobedu settlement last Thursday night at about 20:00. The third suspect allegedly committed suicide after the horrific incident.
According to the police spokesperson in the area, Capt Moatshe Ngoepe, the victim, a 95-year-old pensioner, was sleeping alone in the house when the incident took place. According to the police statement, the suspects broke into the victim’s house during the incident.
