A high-powered delegation of entrepreneurs from China recently visited Musina on a fact-finding mission to establish business ties with the local municipality.

The delegation consisted of Messrs Yu Huaile, Tian Huiyu, Liu Hongwe, Wei Bin and Richard Ji. Amongst others, places they visited are the Musina Municipality civic centre in town, Beitbridge and Musina Spirulina.

Group leader Mr Richard Ji said they were impressed by the business opportunities available in the Musina area. "There are lots of opportunities here and we will certainly come back to start negotiations. This is a wonderful place and we will be very proud to be associated with it economically. The Musina Spirulina project is an inspiration to all and we are very impressed with this project."

Mayor Caroline Mahasela said doing business with the international community would boost the municipality’s economic development. She said: "It has been always our dream to lure the international community to come and invest here. This will be a major step in the development of our local economy and the country in particular."
