SABC Limpopo, in partnership with Mvelelo Event Management, will once again be hosting the SABC Spring Show, now known as the Northern Gateway Show, at the show grounds in Louis Trichardt, from August 28 to 30 this year.

The objectives of this show are, amongst others, to showcase the community, to promote the entrepreneurial spirit in the community and to enhance the involvement of the SABC in the region. This is in line with the SABC’s quest for empowering communities, which is also in line with the notion of the corporation of broadcasting for total citizen empowerment. This initiative will increase the level of awareness for small and medium enterprises, since they will be showcasing their products and services at the show.

Financial institutions and sponsors have come on board this year to share the vision of showcasing the Vhembe District and help provide both SMMEs and large businesses with a platform to network, forge business relationships and market their products and services in a professional and vibrant environment. The Northern Gateway Show is a Makhado Municipality initiative.

Many well-known companies have signed up for exhibiting their products and services, as well as focusing on career choices in their fields – companies showcasing their careers are the air force, agriculture (Madzivhandila Agricultural College), Coca-Cola, ER24, Eskom, financial institutions, SABC, SAPS, Venetia Mine and the University of Venda, amongst others. This will give all Grade 11 and 12 pupils a broader view of what is on offer in the job market.

The show will comprise different activities, including businesses showcasing products and services, a fashion show and beauty competition, sporting activities, live entertainment, many exciting arena events, including extreme bikers and soccer matches, a carnival and fun activities, food stalls, restaurants, a beer garden, flea market and much more.

Coca-Cola will be there to ensure thirsts are quenched and has a fun-filled program lined up for the young and young at heart, which includes activities such as wall climbing, foosball, live DJs, nail-biting soccer finals and much more. SABC Super entertainment will take place on August 30, starting at 16:00.
