THOHOYANDOU - While the Thulamela Municipality is still baffled by the wind that damaged the houses of residents of Malamulele township, Masithulela Protection Services alleviated the problem by donating blankets to the municipality’s disaster management team last Wednesday.
“Masithulela Protection Services donated 35 new blankets to the municipality, so that it would be the task of the municipality to distribute them according to the seriousness of the situation during disaster time. The donation came after they realizefd that the municipality could not face this problem of thedisaster alone. It needs assistance from us as companies,” said the operations manager, Mr Patrick Nndwambi.
Mr Nndwammbi said the vision of donating blankets to the needy families emanated from the late company boss, Mr Mukulumedzi Dali, before his death in July this year.
Mayor Thivhulawi Makumbane said the municipality needs partnership with companies, so that the Vhembe District will be ready for any natural disaster.
